Well Intentioned White People
As Associate Props Master for Well Intentioned White People, a wold premiere as part of Barrington Stage Company’s 2018 summer season, I was able to create a world tell in which a story could be told to change the way people think. This production was performed at BSC’s St. Germain Stage in downtown Pittsfield, MA. With a mid-century modern design and multiple story locations, creating a world that felt familiar and inhabited was the most challenging task. From hanging banners to a bright orange mid-century modern couch to a indestructible phone, this show marvels in its design and challenges the audience in its messages.

The Chinese Lady
As Associate Props Master for The Chinese Lady, a co-production between Barrington Stage Company and the Ma-Yi Theater Company in NYC, I had the opportunity to work a world premiere production that would perform both in Pittsfield, MA and NYC. The show, in most of its entirety, exists within the confines of a chinese shipping crate. With the multitude of time and location changes in the story, some clever problem solving was implemented to allow the shipping container to maintain it’s illusion of solid steel while set dressing could be switched out.

The Cake
As Associate Props Master for The Cake, part of Barrington Stage Company’s 2018 summer season, I was able to create a world so detailed that you’d swear you had walked into a real bakery. This production was performed at BSC’s St. Germain Stage in downtown Pittsfield, MA. Due to the realism of the design, “Della’s Bakery” needed to be stocked full of custom cakes, cookies, and other various deserts. From the ‘take-home’ goodie bags to the frost-able cakes to the floating bed units, this show managed to pack a bakery and two bedrooms into a incredibly immersive and small space.

Typhoid Mary
As Associate Props Master for Typhoid Mary, part of Barrington Stage Company’s 2018 summer season, I had the opportunity to kick off the summer season with a well compiled yet minimalistic set. This production was performed at BSC’s St. Germain Stage in downtown Pittsfield, MA. Due to the minimalism of the design, all aspect of the set needed to have a level of perfection to sell the world. From the working sink to the smash glass to the lived in cludder of jars and cookware, this production brought to life world of Typhoid Mary.

Our Town
As Assistant Props Director I had the pleasure to work under Eric Hart on the co-production of Our Town. The production was co-supported by both UNCSA and TRIAD Stage. It was preformed at HanesBrand Theatre in downtown Winston-Salem. My role as assistant props director included procuring, sourcing, maintaining, and building props for the production. Most of the furniture for the show came from UNCSA or TRIAD's stock, excluding the bench, which was fabricated for the production. Due to the natural of the production, almost all of the hand props were imaginary. During the rehearsal process actual hand props were used to allow the actors to get familiar with the props before having to mime it. Since most of the props were imaginary, many live foley sound props were used to add context and live sounds to mimed actions.
